This knitting pattern is in english.
Jeol is Korean and means to bow for Buddha. The inspiration for Jeol came from the classic men’s coat with the herringbone pattern. The pattern is placed on the bottom of the sweater, in a colour in great contrast to the plain stockinette on the top. This is to underline the fusion between Scandinavian and Korean aesthetics which is the foundation of AegyoKnit.
Jeol sweater is worked from the top down without any need for additional finishing. German short rows are used to shape the neckline and it is worked simultaneously as the neck rib. Afterwards the shoulders are formed with increases and then the back and front are knitted separately before they are joined together. The colourwork pattern on the body and sleeves are knitted by chart.
SIZES
1 (2)
Circumference of finished sweater approx..: 148 (152) cm
The model in the picture is wearing a size 1 and measures 79 cm around the bust. This gives a 69 cm positive ease.
NOTE: Due to the dropped shoulders, some of the width on the body is included in the length of the sleeves. Therefore, it is not recommended to choose a size with a smaller positive ease less than 10 cm.
