Some designs continue to grow and Jeol tee is an iteration of one of my very first designs, which through the years has become my most widely embraced pattern among knitters. It began as an idea that turned into a favourite, which has now been reimagined with summer in mind. The result is a soft and airy summer version that features the familiar lines in a new interpretation.
CONSTRUCTION
The tee is worked top-down. You begin in the round, making increases for the shoulders while simultaneously working short rows. Later, the work is separated, and front and back are worked separately to create the armholes. When the work is joined again, you continue in the round and work the colourwork section. Stitches are picked up for sleeves, and both body and sleeves are finished with an i-cord.
LEVEL OF DIFFULTY
Intermediate to advanced.

SIZE GUIDE
Jeol tee is shown in a size 2 for a very oversized look and 35 cm / 13.7" of positive ease. Recommended ease: between 10 cm – 40 cm / 4-15.7".
Note: Please be aware that the Jeol Tee has a boxy, cropped fit. It is designed to be relatively short. If you prefer it longer than the specified measurements, it is recommended to lengthen it in the pattern piece.
YARN AND GAUGE
2 strands are held together for both MC and CC, 4 strands in all during the colourwork.
Main colour (MC):
3 (4) 5 (5) balls of Trio 2 (175 m / 50 g)
3 (3) 4 (5) balls of Silk mohair (212 m / 25 g)
Contrast colour (CC):
1 (2) 2 (3) balls of Trio 2 (175 m / 50 g)
1 (1) 2 (3) balls of Silk mohair (212 m / 25 g)
All from Isager Yarn.
Note: The 1 strand of Silk mohair can be replaced with 1 strand of Mulberry silke from Isager Yarn, for a cooler alternative, same amount as Silk mohair is needed.
Please note: Yarn estimates are always that - estimates. They are based on what the test knitters have used as well as the measurements in the pattern. Should you wish to knit a longer body or longer sleeves, this will affect the amount of yarn you need.
It is important that you meet gauge for the desired fit, which is why it is always a good idea to swatch and to wash and block your swatch because the gauge may change after blocking.
Gauge: 20 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4" on a 4 mm / US 6 needle in stockinette stitch after washing and blocking.
Suggested needles:
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle (40 cm, 60 cm / 16", 24")
4 mm / US 6 circular needle (40 cm, 100 cm / 16", 40")
5 mm / US 8 circular needle (60-100 cm / 24-40") This is recommended for the colourwork as most knitters knit colourwork more tightly, but knit a swatch in colourwork if in doubt.
